I'm working on this poem in a (virtual) public space like a graffiti artist working with spray paint on public sidewalks, on the walls of buildings, public restrooms, etc. Text includes samples (words, phrases, lines) from "Keith Haring Journals" (Viking 1996). Photos by the writer (HIP 2008).
PLACES: Grew up in upstate New York, worked on a survey crew in Montana, taught English in Japan, lives and works in Seattle. IDEAS: Whitman, Dickinson, Kerouac, the Beats, Montana bars, punk music, haiku. POETRY: "Punk Poems" (Ravenna Press 2005), "A History of Guns in the Family" (Ravenna Press 2008), and "Graffito" (Ravenna Press July 2011)
